How it works

From fresh flowers to a keepsake

1. Get in touch early. Tell us about your flowers, the date of your event, and the type of piece you would like. Fresh flowers are best brought in soon after the event.

2. Plan your piece. We’ll discuss the flowers, size, design, and price with you before work begins. Contact us first to arrange how we’ll receive them.

3. Let the flowers dry. We dry or press the blooms before arranging them in a frame. This takes time, and the finished colors and shapes may change as flowers dry.

Our story

Why we keep flowers

The Remembered Bloom grew from a love of collecting and preserving flowers. A bloom can remind you of a person, a place, or a day you never want to forget.

Based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, we make keepsakes for those memories and teach others to create with flowers.

Getting started

What flowers can I have preserved?

Wedding bouquets, memorial flowers, anniversary blooms, and flowers from other special days are welcome for review. Send a photo so we can recommend a method based on the flower type and condition.

When should I contact you?

Before your event whenever possible. If you already have the flowers, email us as soon as you can. Include your event date and a current photo; we’ll confirm whether we can accept the project.

How should I care for fresh flowers while I wait?

Keep stems in clean water and place flowers in a cool spot away from direct sun, heat, and ripening fruit. Follow your florist’s flower-food instructions. Arrange the handoff with us promptly.

Can you use flowers that are already dried or wilted?

Possibly. Send clear photos and tell us how the flowers were stored. Already-dried blooms may suit a shadowbox; wilted or damaged flowers need review. Drying cannot reverse existing damage.

Do I need a whole bouquet?

No. A few special blooms may be enough for a smaller design. We’ll help you choose a frame size that suits the flowers you have.

Your flowers & design

What is the difference between a shadowbox and a pressed frame?

A shadowbox is a deep frame for dried flowers that keep their dimension. A pressed frame holds flowers flattened during drying, bringing out their petal shapes and details.

Will the colors and shapes stay exactly the same?

No. These are natural flowers: colors can soften or deepen, petals may shrink, and pressing changes the shape. Each finished piece will look different from a fresh bouquet.

Can I choose the size, frame color, and arrangement?

Tell us your preferences and share any inspiration photos. We’ll discuss the frame options and design that suit your flowers and confirm the plan before work begins.

Can you include a ribbon, photo, or small memento?

Ask when requesting your quote. Send a photo and dimensions of the item so we can check whether it fits the frame and can be included safely.

Will every flower from my bouquet fit?

That depends on the frame size and the condition of the blooms. We’ll discuss which flowers to feature and what should happen to any remaining flowers before starting.

Are the pictures on this site examples of completed orders?

The keepsake pictures illustrate possible designs. They are not photographs of completed orders. Your design will depend on your flowers and the frame you choose.

Prices, timing & handoff

How much does a keepsake cost?

Dried flower shadowboxes start at $125 and pressed floral frames start at $95. Preparation, design, materials, and assembly are included. Size, flower condition, and design affect your final quote.

How long will my piece take?

Plan for several weeks rather than a few days. Flowers must dry fully before assembly, and timing varies with the blooms, method, and current workload. We’ll give you an estimated completion window when reviewing your project.

How do I get my flowers to you?

We are based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Email us first to arrange the handoff. Do not drop off or ship flowers without an agreed date and instructions.

Can I order from outside Winston-Salem?

Email your location and flower details first. We’ll discuss whether receiving the flowers and returning the finished piece is practical. Shipping availability, packaging, and any charges must be confirmed before you send anything.

How do I book, pay, or change an order?

Start by email. We’ll confirm availability, your design, the quote, payment arrangements, and any cancellation or change terms before work begins. Sending an inquiry does not reserve a date.

Can I give a keepsake as a gift?

Yes, tell us who it is for and any date you have in mind. We’ll discuss the design and timing before you commit. Contact us first if the flowers belong to someone else.

Care & workshops

How should I display and care for my finished piece?

Keep it indoors, away from direct sunlight, heat, and humidity. Avoid bathrooms and damp spaces. Leave the frame closed and wipe the outside gently with a soft cloth; do not spray cleaner onto the flowers.

Will preserved flowers last forever?

They can be enjoyed for years with careful handling and display, but natural flowers remain delicate and may fade over time. Preservation does not make them permanent or restore their fresh appearance.

What do workshops cost and include?

Workshops start at $65 per person, including supplies. Project choices, location, dates, and availability are confirmed when you inquire. Ask about private classes for groups of six or more.

Can beginners join a workshop?

Tell us your experience level and the project you want to try. Ask about a beginner-friendly class, any age requirements, class length, and what to bring before booking.
